Our Holy Spirit speaks:
Dear ones, there is no such thing as "good of society" separate from, apart from, and divorced from the good of each individual. If you value the sacrifice of one individual's free spirit, your society has been made a painful prison.
Sacrifice is a notion totally unknown to God. It arises solely from fear. This is particularly unfortunate, because frightened people are apt to be vicious. Sacrificing others in any way is a clear-cut violation of God's own injunction that man should be merciful even as His Father in heaven is merciful.
